Relevance Using communication to provide safe care is an integral component of nursing. The national standards that govern the provision of care in acute and aged care centre around communication and ensuring safe and effective care is delivered. The use of ISBAR to communicate and share key information has been shown to be effective in managing and minimising harm in healthcare. ISBAR is a standard communication tool used to share information in acute deterioration. All nurses and training nurses must be aware of this process.

Task Instructions

Develop and present a 10-minute digital presentation that address the following questions:

1. Discuss how the ISBAR approach to handover aligns to communicating for safety national standards that govern acute and aged care
2. Use literature (journal articles, textbooks, research publications and national standards) to support the content
3. Narrate and elaborate upon the presentation using appropriate literature to support your points

3. Identify the specific lawmakers by name at the state level (i.e., key members of the state’s legislative branch and executive branch of government) 
4. Discuss interest groups that exist at the state and national levels that influence APN policy.

1. Purpose of Assignment
   The goal of creating a newborn nutrition teaching presentation is to prepare the nursing student to provide evidenced based education to the pre and postpartum client on lactation.
   Competency
   Select safe, effective nursing interventions for the postpartum client and newborn.
   Instructions
   Create a teaching tool to promote breastfeeding. The material created to educate new mothers on breastfeeding will influence the mother’s decision to breastfeed, including duration, based on the quality and content of the teaching.
   Assignment Requirements
   Your teaching tool will be a trifold and must include this relevant content for a mother considering the risks and benefits of breastfeeding a newborn.
   • Explain how breast milk is formed in the mammary glands and the physiology of breast milk

 Reflections: Make sure that you are utilizing proper APA format. This includes a title page in the beginning and a reference page at the end. A running head and page number should be on the top of each page. Don’t forget to cite your resources within the text, as well as at the end on your reference page. Make sure that you are reviewing the rubric for the assignment, so that you know what is expected. It is important that you understand what the assignment is asking you to do. Make sure to demonstrate an understanding of the main issues by comparing the different points of views and utilizing supporting evidence.
