First, state whether blood pressure in Table 2A would be a continuous variable or a discrete variable. Explain. Then supposing that the number of women in each of groups (non-users and users) were identified, would the number of women in each category be a continuous variable or a discrete variable? Explain.

Part 2: Use any free online histogram maker* to draw histograms for the blood pressures of the users and nonusers ages 35–44. Discuss one conclusion that can be made about blood pressure and pill use. *Here are some free resources:

http://www.zweigmedia.com/RealWorld/stats/histogram.html

Part 3: Based on what you’ve learned in this module about normal distributions, explain why a normal approximation of data would be helpful to view the data. For example, you could describe the steps that one would take to estimate the percentage of women with blood pressures in an age group.

Nursing Assignment Help

Pease write al least 260 words from academic resources and follow the instructions please. Thanks. – 2025

As adolescents separate from their parents and gain a sense of control, sometimes they are unable to balance stresses. As a result, depression may occur, and, at times, suicide may be the outcome. Choose the topic of either adolescent depression or adolescent suicide. Discuss contributing factors and signs and symptoms that may be observed or assessed in these clients. Describe primary, secondary, and tertiary methods of health prevention for this topic. Research community and state resources and describe at least two of these for your chosen topic. What nursing interventions could you use to assist an adolescent you suspect is depressed beyond referring the adolescent to a state or community resource?

Current Scenario of Health Insurance Plans

Currently, in the United States, an individual is not required to  purchase a health insurance plan. However, according to Section 1501 of  the PPACA, beginning in 2014, “Individuals will be required to maintain  minimum essential coverage beginning in 2014. Failure to maintain  coverage will result in a penalty of $95 in 2014, $350 in 2015, $750 in  2016 and indexed thereafter.”

Currently, employers are not required to provide health insurance  coverage to their employees. However, in 2014, the employers’  responsibility in health insurance coverage will change, according to  the PPACA. This is the latest update in a long line of US health care  reform efforts.

Using South University Online Library or the Internet, search on the  topic of latest health care reforms. On the basis of your research and  your understanding of the topic, answer the following questions:

  • Track the progress of health care reform efforts in the US history  starting with the early 1900s detailing the role of Presidents’  attempting to pass health care reform.
  • Give your views on the AALL’s efforts to pass National Health Reform.
  • What are the issues of culture, politics, and special interests in  the United States that have made health care reform difficult to  achieve?
  • Of these three issues, which issue do you find to be the most difficult to overcome? Why?
  • What is path dependency? What has this been an issue in health reform? How can the power of inertia be overcome?
  • What are the advantages and disadvantages of PPACA that was passed in 2010?

Nursing – obstetrics comprehensive patient assessment – 2025

When completing practicum requirements in clinical settings, you and your Preceptor might complete several patient assessments in the course of a day or even just a few hours. This schedule does not always allow for a thorough discussion or reflection on every patient you have seen. As a future advanced practice nurse, it is important that you take the time to reflect on a comprehensive patient assessment that includes everything from patient medical history to evaluations and follow-up care. For this Assignment, you begin to plan and write a comprehensive assessment that focuses on one female patient from your current practicum setting.

To prepare

  • Reflect on your Practicum Experience and select a female patient whom you have examined with the support and guidance of your Preceptor.
  • Think about the details of the patient’s background, medical history, physical exam, labs and diagnostics, diagnosis, treatment and management plan, as well as education strategies and follow-up care.

To complete

Write an 8- to 10-page comprehensive assessment that addresses the following:

  • Age, race and ethnicity, and partner status of the patient
  • Current health status, including chief concern or complaint of the patient
  • Contraception method (if any)
  • Patient history, including medical history, family medical history, gynecologic history, obstetric history, and personal social history (as appropriate to current problem)
  • Review of systems
  • Physical exam
  • Labs, tests, and other diagnostics
  • Differential diagnoses
  • Management plan, including diagnosis, treatment, patient education, and follow-up care

The “Elevator Consult”

In this activity, you will practice giving a synopsis of your patient to your preceptor. In practice, you may often give this type of report if you are sending a patient for a consultation and your phone the specialist to discuss the patient. This report should be concise and clear. The receiver should, within one minute (slightly less for simple cases, slightly more for complex cases) have a picture of the patient in his/her head. You will report on ONLY items pertaining to the acute problem in this case. Do not include extraneous material or material not directly impacting the decision-making regarding this problem. Remember, this is a FOCUSED visit and assessment to evaluate a focused concern. The history and physical exam applies techniques relevant to the specific complaint for the patient at that visit. Your report should be similarly focused, providing only information that relates specifically to the presenting problem.

Please review the grading rubric under Course Resources in the Grading Rubric section.

Nursing – 2025

The Nurse as Advocate  Whether nurses are advocating for their patients, health care, and/or policies that improve people’s lives, the advocacy processes have commonalities that transcend the subject of their advocacy. There are also differences, although these differences may be more nuanced than obvious.

Tasks:  Write a 5-page brief to answer the following questions. Be sure to use APA guidelines for writing style, spelling and grammar, and citation of sources.  Read the following chapters from your course textbook:

•Taking Action: Nurse, Educator, and Legislator: My Journey to the Delaware Senate

•Taking Action: A Nurse in the Board Room  Answer the below questions: •Describe what you believe to be the drivers for each of the individuals? What factors led them to become advocates?

•Discuss the challenges that each of them identified in their writings.

•Analyze these drivers and challenges and compare them with your own experience to date as an advocate. In what ways do you believe that you can expand your advocacy skills within the next five years?
