Health care marketing must be repeatedly applied and practiced strategically to include environmental dimensions, such as technology, socioeconomics, competition, and regulatory.

That being said, in today’s global economy, investors and potential entrepreneurs must tap into the so-called “unexplored” market. In this aspect, health care establishments must utilize marketing, advertising, as well as sales strategies when pursuing new customers (e.g., suppose a health care investor wanted to build a small hospital in a rural community); this would entail exploration and logistical experimentation to determine who will patronize the facility. In an impoverished neighborhood, the feasibility of having lucrative profits may see diminishing returns, and so the venture may be not worth the effort. Also, suppose that the potential investor wants to sell mosquito deterrents (e.g., bedside netting in malaria-infested regions of Asia or Africa); then it would be wise to investigate the number of beds that are actually in the village, and who would be willing to purchase them. These activities take into account the investor portfolio, as well as the feasibility of marketing and selling the product. Such exploration also examines competitors, cultural differences, and—most important—identification of the customer.

However, companies try to incorporate decisions not only using money but also using customer feedback. Some of that customer feedback can ultimately aid in gaming more money. Companies’ goals are to try to make money to provide more for the customers and pay employees. In the healthcare system hospitals, doctors offices, and pharmacies all have to make money to pay employees and keep providing customers/ patient with excellent service. Some of these institutions are for-profit and some are nonprofit. These institutions still need to have some sort of cash flow in order to work. The biggest economic impact on these healthcare institutions are insurance companies. Insurance companies are the driving force of how these institutions get paid for the most part. However, with insurances there is a huge disparity on who has insurance and who can afford insurance. That is why universal healthcare is at the forefront of all economic conversations specifically here in the United States of America. Universal healthcare can allow all citizens of the US to be seen by a doctor and thus maintaining or bettering their health. Nevertheless, universal healthcare comes at a great economic cost. With the longer life span of Americans and the constant spending on health promoting products the United States spends almost 3 trillion dollars yearly on healthcare (Blais & Hayes, 2015). If universal healthcare were to be provided then the United States economy would be affected. That is why it is such hot and heavy economic and social issue. Most healthcare workers take oath to providing some sort of betterment two societies health overall. It is important that healthcare be delivered to everyone no matter the circumstances so that the oath can be upheld. With this in mind economics cannot be separated. Currently almost half of healthcare spending is used to just treat 5% of the population in the United States (Boudreau, 2017). In addition, healthcare costs are rising almost 2% every year (Boudreau, 2017).  All things considered, it is important to start planned out the future of healthcare and healthcare economics. Universal Health Care is definitely an option on the table that can allow the US population and its citizens to receive healthcare no matter what. A plan however needs to be in place so that economic disaster does not overwhelmed the country. Additionally to the economics of universal healthcare, the delivery of healthcare to all the newfound people is another hurdle (Blais & Hayes, 2015). Hospitals and other facilities need to be prepared to deal with the vast influx of people seeking healthcare treatment once universal healthcare is adapted. By hundreds of thousands of people gaining healthcare and them coming into the system it can bombard and potentially crippled the healthcare system. Regardless of the new influx of individuals within the system the type of health received should always be universal. No matter what economic factors might come into play the delivery of the services should never be questioned. Every patient should get the same attention, treatment and procedures no matter what is in place.

Some basic conditions for good sex that were developed by Zilbergold are through discovering all of your conditions to ensure that you are able to enjoy your sexuality. Through his studies he has explained that every individual has his or her own unique condition for good sex. You must look at both conditions sexual satisfaction of when pleasure and intimacy was at it’s highest point and also it’s lowest point when you possibly felt like you were not aroused. He Zilbergeld states that within a sexual situation you must be comfortable, confident, and excited in order to get the fulfillment of an open experience. By clearing your mind of all the unnecessary chaos, you are able to transmit sexual messages that will result in better satisfaction when it comes to intimacy. 

In order to fully understand your condition, you and your partner must communicate all factors to understand sexual desires. By incorporating sexual enhancement programs, couples are able to make time for one another in having a better understanding of sexual fulfillment. “To sustain a loving sexual relationship, individuals must be willing to face the threats to the defense system that loving another person and being loved for oneself evoke” (Yarber, Sayad, Strong, 2015 p 455). From the readings you can see that these types of programs and exercises are somewhat comparable to sex therapy. Some couples may also incorporate using erotic aids such as sex toys to enhance sexual responsiveness. Having excellent sex is adaptable and varies with couples but the outcomes are able to be altered with the time and dedication to improving the experiences.

2.  Describe the major obstacles to gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered (GLBT) people in obtaining adequate health care.

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered persons face unique health care challenges.  Fear and costs are the main reasons the LGBT community faces challenges in obtaining adequate health care.  More than half of this population of Americans state that they have experienced violence, threats, or harassment because of their sexuality or gender identity.  LGBTQ people receive poor quality of care not only due to stigma, but also because of a lack of healthcare providers’ awareness as well as insensitivity to the unique needs of this community.  These discriminations in healthcare settings endanger LGBTQ people’s lives through delays or denials of medically necessary care. 

In many times, the patients want to talk about their sexual health but fear they would be discriminated against or stigmatized.  Because they don’t want discrimination to affect the quality of healthcare they receive, many people do no tell their doctors about their sexual orientation.  Because of this hesitation, lesbians and bisexual women have higher rates of breast cancer than heterosexual women since they have been found to get less routine health care than other women.  By eliminating LGBT health disparities and enhancing efforts to improve LGBT health are necessary to ensure that the LGBT individuals can lead long, healthy lives.  

Sexuality is an integral part of a patien’ts identity that needs to uniquely defined by each patient.  It cannot be determined simply by looking at someone.  Healthcare providers may lack adequate training on the specific needs and clalenges faced by the LGBT community.  Although there has been an uprising in LGBTQ-friendly healthcare providers, we as whole need to bring more awareness and help stop the discrimination, a lot of LGBT fear of the discrimination that they stop from seeking the needed medical care that they should have.  A way to improve this, is that healthcare providers can use inclusive language so that patients doesn’t need to feel that they have defend their sexual identity. The wrong words used by the healthcare provider can be experienced as heterosexist and can reveal a lack of understanding.
