Imagine that you are a researcher and are conducting a study to investigate a community problem. Using behavioral research principles, select a macro systems problem to investigate (there are many suggested in the textbook, e.g. domestic violence, homophobia, sexual abuse, delinquent gangs) and design a study to solve this community problem. The purpose of your Final Paper is to solve this community problem. The Final Paper should be eight- to- ten pages (excluding title and reference pages) that includes the following components:(Please note that for the purposes of offering instruction, examples have been given below about a research study involving the use of financial reward programs to combat truancy. Please make sure that you create a study that does not investigate the same content.)Introduction – This section should include a brief summary of the community problem that will be addressed, as well as the approach that will be used to investigate and solve the problem.Statement of the problem – The purpose of this section is to specify the main research question (e.g., Does enrollment in a financial reward program reduce truancy?) and define the community problem in more depth (e.g., truancy), analyzing why it is a problem. In addition, you will explain the problem-solving method you plan to employ (e.g., enrollment in a financial reward program) and state your main hypothesis. (e.g., Enrollment in a financial reward program is expected to reduce student truancy in the short term, but its long-term effects are difficult to predict.)Literature Review – In this section, research findings pertaining to both the community problem and problem solving method need to be illustrated. (e.g., Relevant articles may include those on the prevalence of truancy, the impact of truancy, previous methods used to combat truancy, and the benefits of financial reward programs.)Methodology – Explain how your Final Paper will investigate the problem. How will the study be designed? How many participants will be involved in the study and how will they be recruited? (e.g., Four classes at a local high school will be given the opportunity to participate in the research study. Two of these classes will be enrolled in the financial reward program.) How will data be collected? (e.g., Truancy data will be collected on all of the participants for the six months preceding the reward program, for the duration of the program, and for the six months after completion of the reward program.) What statistics will be used to evaluate the data? (e.g., Inferential statistics will be conducted to compare the truancy levels of the group of students participating in the program with those of the group of students who are not participating in the program.)  Ethical considerations should be discussed to ensure that no unethical research is suggested. Conclusions – This section should contain concluding remarks about any potential problems that might be encountered in conducting this research study. It should also include speculations on the potential results of the study.Writing the Final PaperThe Final Paper:Must be eight to ten double-spaced pages in length, and formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.Must include a title page with the following:Title of paperStudent’s nameCourse name and numberInstructor’s nameDate submittedMust begin with an introductory paragraph that has a succinct thesis statement.Must address the topic of the paper with critical thought.Must end with a conclusion that reaffirms your thesis.Must use at least five scholarly sources, including a minimum of three from the Ashford Online Library.Must document all sources in APA style, as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.Must include a separate reference page, formatted according to APA style as outlined i

Reply to at your classmates. Be constructive and professional in your responses. 175 word minimum.Jasper Harmon4:44 AMHey class,I learned about this event when I was younger, and reading it now is still sad to know that these astronauts lost their life for an unethical situation. What I learned about this event was that it was a simple fix. The O-ring is used to aid in the attachment of the different sections of the rocket to the shuttle (Stanwick & Stanwick, 2013). The O-rings were manufactured by a company known as MTI (Morton Thiokol). The National Aeronautics and Space Administration knew there was something wrong with the O-rings at low temperature. Before the launch the shuttles temperature dropped to freezing temperatures. MTI’s engineers wanted to wait to launch the shuttle and NASA engineers wanted to launch but advised they did not want to override their decision to not launch (Stanwick & Stanwick, 2013). The division leader for MTI did not want to risk losing the business, so they launched the shuttle regardless of the safety issues and those 7 astronauts lost their lives. What I learned from this event was that standard safety protocols and guidelines were not followed. They made a greedy decision to choose business over safety and it ultimately was a fatal decision. This story taught me to never act out of fear and to act for what’s right. If I know there is a 50/50 chance something will not work out, or I am making the wrong decision, I will not move forward with the idea. As a leader you made that oath to protect your subordinates and in this situation the employees were not protected and their lives were taking for a senseless decision to not follow the proper safety protocols and fix the O-ring before launching.ReferenceStanwick, P. In 250-words, apply concepts you learned in this course (especially in Chapter 14) to make an argument why one of the two articles you are working with is the most important. Show that you understand and can apply the details of this course. This is only one page, but it should be a smart page. Write two pages, and then cut it down to an elegant,   distilled, one-page argument.Details: Your discussion should be nuanced and apply course   concepts, especially from Chapter 14. Your assessment will show that you are not just applying “common sense” or intuition to your evaluation—you should be applying course concepts. You   should consider these questions:Is the study replicable? (Did it actually replicate—if     not, could you replicate it?) What is the evidence for its replicability? Is the study in generalization mode or theory-testing mode? How do you know? How does this affect the types of validities you prioritize and the types of questions that you ask?Does the study test a theory? (If so, does it provide good support for the theory?)Is the study important in the real world? (Was it in generalization mode? Could it be? To what extent does real-world applicability matter?)Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA   Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.
