Throughout your practicum experience, you have been designing and implementing a project. You will now assess that experience. Prior to beginning this paper, discuss the topics below with your preceptor. Include their feedback as well as your own. In a 1,250-1,500 word document, discuss the following topics:

1. What was the focus of your leadership project, the goals you set for yourself, and the AONE competencies you hoped to achieve?
2. How did you discover the need for this project, and how did it fit into the organization’s philosophy and mission?
3. Did you encounter any real or potential barriers during your practicum experience related to your project?
4. Discuss how the outcomes of your project will be measured? Is your project one that is sustainable or is it designed to be a single occurrence?
5. Evaluate the success of your project. If you were not able to implement your project, discuss why. What are the next steps for the project?

Use a minimum of two peer-reviewed resources (published within the last 5 years) as evidence to support your views.

The Final EBP Project Proposal must have a “matching” score of 34% or less. It is mandatory that your final EBP Proposal paper is 34% or less or you will FAIL THE COURSE. Assignment 2: EBP Proposal PowerPoint

 

PowerPoint instructions:

Do not cut and paste from your EBP Proposal paper. Do not identify your agency by name–please use initials only. There should be plenty of white space and be readable to the audience.  For this assisgnment please do not use graphics, pictures, images, etc., as they take up too much space that should be devoted to content.You will develop and submit a PowerPoint presentation approximately 11-13 slides in length. The presentation should have bullets summarizing the sections of your EBP Project Proposal. Prepare the presentation as if you were presenting it at your agency and/or a professional conference. When completed post your PowerPoint Presentation  to Module 5 Assignment AND to Module 5 Discussion (see Discussions).

Develop a professional PowerPoint presentation that includes the following information:

• Title (1 slide)
• Introduction (Significance of the Problem) (2 slides)

Assignment 3: Reflective Journal

 

Please include a narrative of the following criteria, as this pertains to your knowledge, skills, and attitudes gleaned from this Capstone Course. In addition, a short narrative summary of your educational experience in the RN-BSN program will assist in providing feedback for future curricular revision. Using the personal pronoun “I” is expected in writing a Self-Reflection and Reflective Journal.

Please include:

• Description of experiences and accomplishments
• Evaluate personal and professional growth
• Evaluate experiences with collaborating with RN facilitator
• Evaluate growth as life-long learner
• Evaluate professional role as change agent

 

In collaboration with the approved course preceptor, students will identify a specific evidence-based topic for the capstone project change proposal. Students should consider the clinical environment in which they are currently employed or have recently worked. The capstone project topic can be a clinical practice problem, an organizational issue, a leadership or quality improvement initiative, or an unmet educational need specific to a patient population or community. The student may also choose to work with an interprofessional collaborative team.

Students should select a topic that aligns to their area of interest as well as the clinical practice setting in which practice hours are completed.

Write a 500-750 word description of your proposed capstone project topic. Include the following:

1. The problem or issue, intervention, quality initiative, educational need, or collaborative interprofessional team project that will be the focus of the change proposal.
2. The setting or context in which the problem or issue, intervention, quality initiative, educational need, or collaborative interprofessional team project can be observed.
3. A description (providing a high level of detail) regarding the problem or issue, intervention, quality initiative, educational need, or collaborative interprofessional team project.
4. Effect of the problem or issue, intervention, quality initiative, educational need, or collaborative interprofessional team project.
5. Significance of the topic and its implications for nursing practice.
6. A proposed solution to the identified project topic with an explanation of how it will affect nursing practice.

You are required to cite to a minimum of eight peer-reviewed sources to complete this assignment. Sources must be published within the last 5 years, appropriate for the assignment criteria, and relevant to nursing practice. Plan your time accordingly to complete this assignment.
