FOR THIS PROJECT I WOULD LIKE SOMETHING THAT WOULD BE IN REHAB NURSING IE DIABETES WITH STROKE PATIENTS 33-5 PAGES APA FORMAT 3 REFERENCES AT LEAST 1 FROM WALDEN UNIVERSITY LIBRARY AND USING TEXT BOOK NURSING RESEARCH GENERATING ADN ASSESSING EVIDENCE FOR NURSING PRACTICE TENTH ED. DENISE F.POLIT AND CHERYL TATANO BECK Course Project: Introduction to Course Project Evidence-based practice involves a great deal more than simply reading nursing periodicals on a regular basis. Nurses can take a more proactive approach to evidence-based practice by identifying authentic problems and concerns, and then using that to guide their inquiries into current research. In this way, nurses can connect the results of relevant research studies to their nursing practice. For the Course Project, you identify and apply relevant research to a specific nursing topic or problem. You begin by formulating an answerable question that is relevant to nursing and evidence-based practice. In later weeks of this course, you continue the Course Project by conducting a literature review and then determining how the evidence from the literature can be applied to nursing practice. Before you begin, review the Course Project Overview document located in this week’s Learning Resources. Note: This Course Project will serve as the Portfolio Assignment for the course. In addition to submitting portions of this Project in Weeks 2 and 5, you will turn in all three deliverables in Week 10 . Course Project: Part 1—Identifying a Researchable Problem One of the most challenging aspects of EBP is to actually identify the answerable question. —Karen Sue Davies Formulating a question that targets the goal of your research is a challenging but essential task. The question plays a crucial role in all other aspects of the research, including the determination of the research design and theoretical perspective to be applied, which data will be collected, and which tools will be used for analysis. It is therefore essential to take the time to ensure that the research question addresses what you actually want to study. Doing so will increase your likelihood of obtaining meaningful results. In this first component of the Course Project, you formulate questions to address a particular nursing issue or problem. You use the PICOT model—patient/population, intervention/issue, comparison, and outcome—outlined in the Learning Resources to design your questions. To prepare: Review the article, “Formulating the Evidence Based Practice Question: A Review of the Frameworks,” found in the Learning Resources for this week. Focus on the PICOT model for guiding the development of research questions. Review the section beginning on page 71 of the course text, titled, “Developing and Refining Research Problems” in the course text, which focuses on analyzing the feasibility of a research problem. Reflect on an issue or problem that you have noticed in your nursing practice. Consider the significance of this issue or problem. Generate at least five questions that relate to the issue which you have identified. Use the criteria in your course text to select one question that would be most appropriate in terms of significance, feasibility, and interest. Be prepared to explain your rationale. Formulate a preliminary PICO question—one that is answerable—based on your analysis. What are the PICO variables (patient/population, intervention/issue, comparison, and outcome) for this question? Note: Not all of these variables may be appropriate to every question. Be sure to analyze which are and are not relevant to your specific question. Using the PICOT variables that you determined for your question, develop a list of at least 10 keywords that could be used when conducting a literature search to investigate current research pertaining to the question. To complete: Write a 3- to 4-page paper that includes the following: A summary of your area of interest, an identification of the problem that you have selected, and an explanation of the significance of this problem for nursing practice The 5 questions you have generated and a description of how you analyzed them for feasibility Your preliminary PICOT question and a description of each PICOT variable relevant to your question At least 10 possible keywords that could be used when conducting a literature search for your PICOT question and a rationale for your selections

Discussion Question 1 Facial pain or numbness is occasionally a chief complaint in primary care. Choose one differential diagnosis for facial pain or numbness in a select population and discuss signs, symptoms, physical findings, and diagnostic testing. You may choose a pediatric, adult, obstetric, or geriatric patient. Support your answer with evidence-based literature (references). Discussion Question 2 The diagnosis of altered mental status is general rather than exact. There are several specific sources for altered mental status. Choose three different diagnoses and discuss symptoms, risk factors, any cultural influences, assessment, and diagnostic tools that you would use to reach this diagnosis. Discussion Question 3 Healthcare is an ever-evolving science. Research findings create changes that are communicated quickly through the Internet, paper publications, and eventually books. The MMSE has long been used to evaluate severity of Alzheimer’s disease. Research the Internet and find one other test that would be useful in screening or diagnosing Alzheimer’s disease. It must be a scientific test, not lay testing. Discuss why you would use this test in your practice as an advanced practice registered nurse or why not.

Case Scenario Mrs. J. is a 63-year-old woman who has a history of hypertension, chronic heart failure, and sleep apnea. She has been smoking two packs of cigarettes a day for 40 years and has refused to quit. Three days ago, she had an onset of flu with fever, pharyngitis, and malaise. She has not taken her antihypertensive medications or her medications to control her heart failure for 4 days. Today, she has been admitted to the hospital ICU with acute decompensated heart failure. IV furosemide (Lasix) Enalapril (Vasotec) Metoprolol (Lopressor) IV morphine sulphate (Morphine) Describe four cardiovascular conditions that may lead to heart failure and what can be done in the form of medical/nursing interventions to prevent the development of heart failure in each condition. Taking into consideration the fact that most mature adults take at least six prescription medications, discuss four nursing interventions that can help prevent problems caused by multiple drug interactions in older patients. Provide rationale for each of the interventions you recommend.

Hello i need a Good and Positive Comment related with this argument .A paragraph with no more 100 words. Sarah Hagedorn 1 posts Re:Topic 2 DQ 1 The imago dei, means the image of God and the Christian concept of this is that human beings are created in the image of God and that includes the meaning that human beings regardless of race, gender, social status, mental or physical status are made to be honored and shown dignity (Shelly, 2006). This is an important aspect of healthcare because it shows and demonstrates the methods by which nurses and healthcare providers across the board should care for patients. All patients should be shown dignity and respect regardless of their background and there should be an ethical and moral obligation to care for patients as well in this manner as well. The fact of treating others in the image of God is relevant to healthcare as well because it is something that people have always done. Christians were called to healthcare in the early days to care for the sick and wounded and it has been what continues to motivate a lot of people in today’s culture. To look at human beings in a particular light of one of a moral status, it is okay for people to own pets but not for people to own other people. The one thing that I do not agree on for this is the fact that we put down hurt or sick animals but for the longest time we did not allow humans to do the same (Shelly 2006). That is now changing though as states are adopting dying with dignity options that allow a person to go peacefully when they feel their time is ready rather than suffering, just as we do for animals. If an animal has no hope of being saved then we put them down to end their suffering. At least that is the way that I see the situation and interpret it in my beliefs
