In order to help in the reduction of the healthcare cost, it is important for healthcare facilities to look into alternative approaches or strategic approaches that can help in the reduction of healthcare expenditure. Technology is playing an important role in the reduction the healthcare costs. The training programs needed for the technology required to deal with issues related to healthcare cost is to automate administrative tasks for the purposes of ensuring that there is a more efficient use of the doctor’s time. 

Healthcare workers need to be trained on the process of digitizing the repetitive tasks to help in cutting down the number of hours being taken by the physician in treating the patients. Usually, the administrative expenditure is accounting to more than a quarter of the total sum of healthcare facility expenditure in the United States. This value is higher than any other first world nations. Physicians are taking less than 27 percent of the time in treating patients and a major percentage of this time is taken on administrative responsibilities. 

Therefore, in order to achieve these tasks for the purposes of reducing healthcare costs, healthcare providers need to be trained. The training program is also specifically focusing on artificial intelligence and the basic software to help in equipping these employees with the knowledge required for the limiting and automating physician interaction with the electronic health records. The training program also includes teaching employees more the physicians and nurses on the method of using software to import test results and make complete paperwork instead of performing manual entrance of tests outcome or simply filling out the intake forms. 

The receptionists are also supposed to be trained on the automated roles so that they are in a position of assisting on the general administrative responsibilities like appointment bookings and the reminders through the digitalized procedure. Making of appointment and reminders are some of the common administrative duties which can be automated to ease the burden faced by the clinical administrative staffs and the physicians. It can also help in reducing the burnout and allowing the shifting of paperwork to patients thus reducing medication errors which also cost a lot to the healthcare organizations. It also helps in reducing the number of administrators being hired to perform all these responsibilities which involves paperwork. 

For the purposes of ensuring the continuity of the program, the newly recruited staffs will have to pass through three-month training on areas related to the process of digitizing the repetitive tasks and training on artificial intelligence and the basic software. The programs will continuously be carried out twice every year to help in reminding and keeping employees well informed regarding these tasks.
