According to Chapter 5 of the textbook, motivation is defined as the conscious or unconscious stimulus, incentives, or motives for actions toward a goal resulting from psychological or social factors, the factors giving the purpose or direction to behavior.Employee motivation can impact organizational behavior positively or negatively, depending on the employee. Those employees who seek status or position will be motivated by promotions, thereby fulfilling their self-actualization need, according to Maslow’s Hierarcy of needs. This behavior will be positive, for as long as they don’t desire a high staus or position. For those employee’s who require less, they may only be motivated to fulfill a basic need, which may only require a weekly pay check. To further motivate these employees it may require additional motivation, such as a raise, or additional vacation time. Not so much the latter because the goal of trying to earn additional vacation time may be too far away to reach. However, they may not be able to be motivated if the need is not there. Maslow demostrates that the motivation decreases as needs are met for the hierarcy levels of esteem and below.I believe the biggest impact on employee motivation is Maslow’s self-actualization need. This need covers self-fullfillment, personal growth, and peak experiences. Maslow describes this level as the desire to accomplish everything that one can. Self-actualization covers it all, status, salary, safety, security, esteem, belongingness, and physiological needs.https://www.simplypsychology.org/maslow.html

Substantive response. Please further discussion. End response with question.APA formatCite 1 reference175-265 wordsRespond to the following:Sabrina Landry3:59 PMMotivational behavior amongst employees is very important this allows the company in management to meet all their goals that are expected of them. A motivated employee keeps up morale, spread the positivity within a workspace, and can produce higher levels of production or output within a company.what if we did not have a motivated employee at work, this would cause a negative environment, low productivity within a company, and low levels of production within the company. And in some cases a non-motivated employee can rub off on other employees and cause a chain affect which would not be good for the company or organization. I believe that the biggest impact on employee motivation is upper management and the directors, these individuals have the lead and communicate with the employees of a company or organization, when these individuals are motivated and positive that trickles down to the employees which should also cause a highly motivated and positive working person within the facility. We need motivated individuals within a company, this keeps the company running and also gives promotions within a company to individuals which will also help run the company smoothly and productively.

Substansive response. Please further discussion. End response with question.APA formatCite 1 reference175-265 wordsRespond to the following:Rita Olivares11:00 PMHello,According to Herman Aguinis “doing good” is being socially responsible, “doing well” is making profit for shareholders. Aguinis states, “Organizations are successful in the long run only if they do both: please shareholders and also please other stakeholders” (p. 862, 2011). An example of this at my current workplace is how the finances are being spent. I work at a hospital and because of covid the hospital had to spend a ton of money on personal protective gear to keep employees safe. The budget effects are very noticeable. We went from a staff of 12 to 8 (in a 24 hour department). They will not fill positions when employees leave the department. It is cheaper to pay for overtime than paying a new employee six weeks full time training and health insurance. We also are limited on ordering office supplies. The hospital is trying to make stakeholders happy by staying within their budget. The hospital is a non-profit so it does not have investors. I think it has to do with the price of health care insurance not going up even higher. They are doing good by keeping employees and patients safe with the personal protective equipment.ReferenceAguinis, H. (2011). Organizational responsibility: Doing good and doing well. APA Handbook of Industrial and Organizational Psychology, 3, 855-879.

Research Design: In this part of the paper, use your previous analysis of the existing research in the field to develop your research design. You will re-identify a gap in the research you have reviewed (utilizing the feedback that I left you in the worksheet), explain how the research supports further exploration of that aspect of cognitive psychology, and develop a research question addressing the gap. You will then determine an appropriate research design and explain how it could be implemented, and how you will account for issues of ethics in your proposed research question. The following critical elements must be addressed:A. Using the feedback I provided to you in the worksheet, restate the gap you identified in the research that is unexplored or underdeveloped. For example, is there an unexplored aspect of your topic you believe could be further explored?B. Using the feedback I provided to you in the worksheet, develop and provide a basic research question addressing the identified gap. In other words, create a question that you could answer in potential research further investigating your identified gap. Be sure to support your developed research question with examples from research to support your claims.C. Determine an appropriate research design that addresses your research question regarding your topic and explain why this design was chosen and why it’s appropriate (e.g. correlational, observational, longitudinal, and so forth). Be sure to also explain how you envision implementing your research (number of subjects, the location where you might conduct your study, and what type of measures you might use to evaluate what you are studying).D. Explain how you will ensure that your own proposed research design follows ethical guidelines. In other words, how will you ensure that issues of ethics associated with your proposed research have been managed appropriately? Be sure to utilize the APA ethics code and support your explanation with examples from the research you presented in your worksheet.E. Explain how your approach to accounting for issues of ethics was informed and influenced by your review of the existing research in the field. In other words, what did you learn from the reviewed research in terms of how to address issues of ethics that you were able to incorporate in your own design?RubricGuidelines for Submission: You will upload the milestone as a Word document to Blackboard for grading and feedback. Once the submissions are graded, you will be able to review the feedback provided to you in the grading rubric. Your worksheet should be completed following proper APA citation and reference format.Any thoughts that are not your own MUST be cited in proper APA format. Direct quotes (short and long) MUST be cited and formatted following APA guidelines. Even if you paraphrase information, it MUST be cited. Papers are being evaluated through SafeAssign. Impact of media and public perceptions | 2025 Custom Writing

On May 18, 1927, a farmer angered by property taxes that helped build a local school building in Bath, Michigan, murdered his wife, burned down his house, detonated over 1,000 pounds of dynamite he had placed within the school, then drove his truck up to the school and discharged another explosive killing 45 people, most of whom were children, and injuring another 58. On April 20, 1999 (72 years later), two students at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado, carried out a highly planned massacre involving multiple explosives and a shooting spree ending in the deaths of 14 people (including the perpetrators) and the injury of 21 more. The Bath, Michigan, disaster drew limited media coverage lasting roughly a week and the story all but vanished from headlines. The Columbine shooting, however, remains a turning point in the perception of safety in schools. One major reason for this is the explosion of news coverage and the intense, long-lasting analyses of this and other acts of mass school violence.Post by Day 3 a response to the following:·  How does the media shape society’s viewpoint of mass violence?o  What are the similarities and differences between the two school disasters with regard to the mindset of the attackers?o  Are school children safer now than they were then? Explain your answer.o  Is media overstating school violence or creating copycat events? Why, or why not?·  Does media contribute to stereotypes of crime? Explain your rationale.·  How has the explosion of social media and 24-hour news coverage impacted our perceptions of violence vs. the impact of more traditional radio and television news coverage? Provide an example.

Ethical dilemmas | 2025

Psychology Assignment Custom Writng

Ethical dilemmas | 2025 Custom Writing

Ethical dilemmas are those situations in which most, if not all, proposed actions appear to violate one or more ethical guidelines. For example, a forensic psychology researcher proposes some degree of participant deception about the objectives of a study in order to decrease the likelihood that knowing the exact objective of the study will affect the participants’ behavior during the study. This is a dilemma because use of deception during research is not allowed by the code of ethics, but if some amount of deception is not used, the results of the study will have questionable value. In another example, a forensic psychology clinical professional who is hired by a defense attorney to evaluate the defendant discovers information about the defendant that will facilitate the prosecutor’s case. This is a dilemma because the code of ethics requires forensic psychology professionals to be truthful and act with integrity, but doing so may actually hamper the defense attorney’s case.Forensic psychology is often focused on challenging issues and tasks, and encountering an ethical dilemma can more typically be the rule rather than the exception. Forensic psychology professionals need to have an acceptable way of resolving ethical dilemmas. An ethical decision-making model offers a way to better articulate the critical issues during an ethical dilemma, identify different courses of action to resolve the dilemma, and weigh the benefits and risks of these actions in order to arrive at a possible solution. Although application of an ethical decision-making model does not guarantee immunity against being disciplined for an ethical violation, its use can help mitigate negative consequences when potential ethical violations are being investigated.Post by Day 3 a response to the following:·  Identify the boundary violation you have chosen from the list on page 364 in the article “When Boundaries Are Broken: Inmate Perceptions of Correctional Staff Boundary Violations.”·  Describe the relevant ethical guideline(s) that pertain to the boundary violation.·  Explain how you would apply each of the following eight steps of the ethical decision-making model from Chapter 1 in Ethical Practice in Forensic Psychology: A Systematic Model for Decision Making to your selected boundary violation:1.  Identify the Problem2.  Consider the Significance of the Context and Setting3.  Identify and Use Ethical and Legal Resources4.  Consider Personal Beliefs and Values5.  Develop Possible Solutions to the Problem6.  Consider the Potential Consequences of Various Solutions7.  Choose and Implement a Course of Action8.  Assess the Outcome and Implement Changes as Needed
