Student’s should research their state’s law and then describe the following topics :  Living Will, DNR, Power of Attorney, Spouse/Partner Rights, Euthanasia, Patient Self-Determination.  Use the following guideline for the presentation.

1. Title page (1 slide)
2. Living Will (1-2 slides)
3. DNR (1-2 slides)
4. Power of Attorney (1-2 slides)
5. Spouse or Partner’s Rights in decision making (1-2 slides)
6. Euthanasia: Active, Passive, Voluntary, and Involuntary (4-6 slides)
7. Patient Self-Determination Act of 1990 (1-2 slides)

For the above, students must address: who needs to sign, is a medical evaluation needed, does the document expire, what rights does the person have, what treatment options does the document cover.

 I agreed about dress code and personal image can effect the way our patient and their family members view us as nursing profession. I also have some colleages who thinks so simple about being profesional at work based on these things, not to the extreme point like the one you witnessed in your post, but they really make us feel uncomfortable about their appearance when they show up at work. Personal image is very imporant, does not matter how passtionate or great we are as a nurse; patient and their family members are deserved to be cared by a professional nurse who also cares about the way they appear everyday in the patient’s room.

 You will present a Clinical Practice Presentation about Parkinson disease  . The focus of the presentation must reflect current treatment recommendations from accepted professional organizations. Presentations will be evaluated related to the criteria listed. Presentations must be no more than 8 slides in a PowerPoint format with a Reference List in APA format, will be no more than 15 minutes in length. Topics will be listed and students must sign up for presentation by the second week of the course. 

Presents the case including CC, HPI,   Hx, ROS and PE findings concisely 

List possible differential   diagnosis with supporting/excluding criteria. 

What labs or tests are typically   ordered in relation to this condition? What results should the

NP expects to see with this diagnosis?

What medications are typically prescribed   for this condition? List specific drugs, starting doses, dose ranges,   precautions to keep in mind when prescribing these drugs.

What are the outcomes expected or   unexpected for this specific condition? And What patient outcomes will trigger   a referral

Provide patient teaching materials   specific to their condition
