Task: Students are to analyse and discuss transgenerational trauma and the impact it has had on the health outcomes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. Students will then analyse and discuss the CTG policy and the benefits of being registered with the CTG on health outcomes, and what they as RNs can do to provide culturally appropriate care for an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person who has experienced transgenerational trauma. To ensure all criteria for this assessment are met, students are to refer to the marking criteria and address the points below: Briefly explain what transgenerational trauma is and relate this to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people’s experience of colonisation.
