Hello i need a Good and Positive Comment related with this argument .A paragraph with no more 100 words. Deactivated Ijeoma Igbokwe 1 posts Re:Topic 5 DQ 1 Reengineering could also mean reorganization or redesigning. Reengineering in healthcare system is done to improve the quality of care delivered to the patients and family members. (Science Life, 2015) The goal of this process is to give the healthcare teams a clearer insight of what the patient and family members want, to improve the quality and safety of the patients, and raise their satisfaction level. (Science Life, 2015) Nurses are in frontline delivering services, they play a very important role in patients’ care; nursing leaders and managers have the responsibility to enhance communication to ensure a smooth transition. Every nurse leader and manager must be able to recognize the need for a change in the unit where they work, (Edens, 2005) because the first step in the process of implementation of change is to recognize the need for a change or regrouping. Nurse leaders coordinate the care given to the patients, by collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. They identify risk-analysis strategies and resources needed to ensure a safe and more effective care provided to the patients. Nursing managers relies on patient-centered, evidenced -based practice and performance data, to enhance the quality of care provided, which is the purpose of reengineering. (RWJF, 2009), because patient outcome is the center of reorganization. Nurse leaders define the way care is provided, and they function as mentors and educators to the nurses. They help to inform and train nurses on the new policy and procedures of the organization Nurse managers and leaders act as middle-person between the nurses and the organization. Nurse managers relay the concerns and needs of nurses to the organization for solution. Staff nurses could also benefit from change; therefore, nurse mangers could advocate for the nurses to ensure harmony.

Due 7/29/17 Discussion: Ethical Issues With an Aging Population According to the CDC, “in the United States, the proportion of the population aged >65 years is projected to increase from 12.4% in 2000 to 19.6% in 2030,” (CDC, 2003, para. 2). Caring for this aging population is going to be one of the greatest challenges facing the health care industry. Not only will the number of individuals requiring care rise, but so will the cost. As poignantly stated by Crippen and Barnato, “unless we change the practice of medicine and reduce future costs, and explicitly address the ethical dilemmas we face, there may come a time when our kids simply cannot afford us” (2011, p. 128). In this Discussion, you will examine the ethical issues that the United States and other nations must address when faced with the health care challenges of an aging population. To prepare: Consider the ethical aspects of health care and health policy for an aging population. Review the Hayutin, Dietz, and Mitchell report presented in the Learning Resources. The authors pose the question, “What are the economic consequences, now and for future generations of taxpayers if we fail to adapt our policies to the changing reality of an older population?” (p. 21). Consider how you would respond to this question. In addition, reflect on the ethical decisions that arise when dispersing limited funds. Contemplate the impact of failing to adjust policy in accordance with the changing reality of an older population. Reflect on the ethical dilemmas that arise when determining expenditures on end-of-life health care. Due 8/3/17 Discussion: What Can Nurses Do? Many people, most of them in tropical countries of the Third World, die of preventable, curable diseases. . . . Malaria, tuberculosis, acute lower-respiratory infections—in 1998, these claimed 6.1 million lives. People died because the drugs to treat those illnesses are nonexistent or are no longer effective. They died because it doesn’t pay to keep them alive. –Ken Silverstein, Millions for Viagra. Pennies for Diseases of the Poor, The Nation, July 19, 1999 Unfortunately, since 1998, little has changed. For many individuals living in impoverished underdeveloped countries, even basic medical care is difficult to obtain. Although international agencies sponsor outreach programs and corporations, and although nonprofit organizations donate goods and services, the level of health care remains far below what is necessary to meet the needs of struggling populations. Polluted water supplies, unsanitary conditions, and poor nutrition only exacerbate the poor health prevalent in these environments. Nurses working in developed nations have many opportunities/advantages that typically are not available to those in underdeveloped countries. What can nurses do to support their international colleagues and advocate for the poor and underserved of the world? In this Discussion, you will consider the challenges of providing health care for the world’s neediest citizens, as well as how nurses can advocate for these citizens. To prepare: Consider the challenges of providing health care in underdeveloped countries. Consider the factors that impact the ability of individuals in underdeveloped nations to obtain adequate health care. Consider strategies nurses can use to advocate for health care at the global level. What can one nurse do to make a difference?

by admincomment from post 1 2025
Our lecture states, “Throughout the definitions and discussions of leadership, two major themes emerge: 1) leaders are responsible for promoting growth, and 2) leaders work by influencing and empowering others.” (GCU.2017). This is how a good nurse leader helps both the staff and management work together. First, a good nurse leader would identify what type of conflict is occurring in the department. In this scenario, there is an intergroup conflict that is occurring since the conflict is between the directing group and the nursing staff group. According to our textbook it states, “ Intergroup conflict refers to disagreements or differences between the members of two or more groups or their representatives over authority, territory, and resources”. (Huber, 2014, p. 171). This is often times created when little or no communication is done before an authoritative managing decision is made. Once this is established a nurse can look at how to organize the process of conflict resolution. Once this is established, then a nurse leader can start to gather more information on each side and establish a definite conflict. The nurse leader must always remember that emotions are high during this time so she must always have self awareness and know how to manage each groups emotions. Then a nurse can examine the definite problems on each side and try to break down that problem to a more manageable one. Then, once the problems are established and are manageable then the leader can help both teams produce “win-win” solution for both sides. A good nurse leader can focus on these things but also have a conflict resolution process. First is to initiate a constructive discussion between the two groups. Second, Respect each other’s differences. Third, be respectful of to each party. Fourth, according to our text, it states, “Have an assertive dialogue that consists of separating facts from feelings, clearly defining the central issue, differentiating viewpoints, making sure that each person clearly states their intentions, framing the main issue based on common principles, and being an attentive listener consciously focused on what the other person is saying.” (Huber, 2014, p. 178). Last is to agree with the on a solution that is positive for each group. I NEED YOU TO COMMENT FROM THIS POST, 150 WORDS NEEDED AND A REFERENCE PLEASE

2025 As we learned the role of the leader is to know yourself as a leader
by admincomment from post 4 2025
As we learned, the role of the leader is to know yourself as a leader, clearly communicate your visions, and establish trust amongst colleagues. In this scenario whereby the leader re organized the department without notifying staff members, all of these roles were disregarded. Conflict can arise because the thoughts, feelings, and input of the employees were not considered in making the decision to reorganize the establishment. Another factor that could lead to conflict would be lack of trust in the leader because of the lack of communication in making a change. The leader seems to exhibit an authoritarian leadership style and this clearly didn’t go well with the employees. Maybe the new leader came from a workplace where decisions were made without the inclusion of all members. With conflict and feelings of resentment towards the leader, a hostile environment is now created making it difficult to work and function in. In order to be an effective leader, the opinions of the upcoming change should’ve been discussed with all members of the team. For an establishment to run smoothly everyone should be considered. As a nurse leader I would manage any conflict that may arise by allowing the employees to openly discuss their feelings on the situation. An open discussion will give the leader a chance to explain why the decision was made so abruptly and possibly give room for an apology to be made. Plans to include staff in all decisions will be discussed so that further conflict can be avoided. Addressing this now rather than disregarding the situation will hopefully instill trust between staff and the new leader. I NEED YOU TO COMMENT FROM THIS POST, 150 WORDS NEEDED AND A REFERENCE PLEASE
