Community Health Promotion Project

In a Microsoft Word document of 5-6 pages formatted in APA style, you will focus on health promotion for a population of your choosing. Please note that the title and reference pages should not be included in the total page count of your paper.

Include the following in your paper:

• Identify the population you chose and analyze relevant information pertaining to the chosen population.

  • environmental hazards
  • access to healthcare
• Analyze and discuss four mortality and morbidity risk factors for your selected population.
• Suggest a health promotion activity for each health issue identified from your analysis.
• Utilize the textbook and library resources to support your findings and recommendations in relation to your chosen population.

The purpose of the signature assignment is for students to apply the research and EBP concepts they have learned in this course and develop a framework for the initial steps of the student’s capstone project. The assignment allows the student to initiate the steps for planning, researching and developing an evidence-based practice intervention project proposal. This formal paper will include and expand upon work completed thus far in prior assignments.

Essential Components of the Final Project Proposal will include:   

1. Introduction– Provide an introduction to your topic or project. The introduction gives the reader an accurate, concrete understanding what the project will cover and what can be gained from implementation of this project.
2. Overview of the Problem – Discuss the problem,  why the problem is worth exploring and the potential contribution of the proposed project to the discipline of nursing.
3. Project Purpose Statement – Provide a declarative sentence or two which summarizes the specific topic and goals of the project.
4. Background and Significance – State the importance of the problem and emphasize what is innovative about your proposed project. Discuss the potential impact of your project on your anticipated results to the betterment of health and/or health outcomes.
5. PICOt formatted Clinical Project Question(s)– Provide the Population, Intervention, Comparison, Expected Outcomes and Timeframe for the proposed project.
6. Literature Review – Provide the key terms used to guide a search for evidence and discuss at least five (5) summaries of relevant, credible, recent, evidence-based research studies to support the project proposal.
7. Critical Appraisal of Literature – Discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the evidence, what is known from the evidence and what gaps in evidence were found from the appraisal of evidence-based research studies.
8. Develop an EBP Standard – Describe  two to three interventions (or a bundle of care) from the evidence and discuss how individual patient preferences or the preferences of others will be considered.
9. Implications – Summarize the potential contributions of the proposed project for nursing research, education and practice.

Expectations

• Due: October 23 (Friday)
• Length: A minimum of 8 pages and a maximum of 10 pages (excluding the title and reference pages)
• Format: Formal scholarly paper in APA 6th ed format
• Reference Citations: A minimum of five, recent (past five years), peer-reviewed scholarly references cited in APA 6th ed format.
• Please keep the Turnitin score as close to 0% as possible, or not over 15%.

Work #1:

Describe in 500 words the shared security responsibility model that a dba must be aware of  when moving to the cloud.

Use at least three sources. Use the Research Databases available from the Danforth Library not Google. Include at least 3 quotes from your sources enclosed in quotation marks and cited in-line by reference to your reference list.  Example: “words you copied” (citation) These quotes should be one full sentence not altered or paraphrased. Cite your sources using APA format. Use the quotes in your paragaphs.  Stand alone quotes will not count toward the 3 required quotes.

Copying without attribution or the use of spinbot or other word substitution software will result in a grade of 0. 

Write in essay format not in bulleted, numbered or other list format. 

Do not use attachments as a submission. 

Reply to two classmates’ posting in a paragraph of at least five sentences by asking questions, reflecting on your own experience, challenging assumptions, pointing out something new you learned, offering suggestions. These peer responses are not ‘attaboys’.   You should make your initial post by Thursday evening so your classmates have an opportunity to respond before Sunday.at midnight when all three posts are due. 

It is important that you use your own words, that you cite your sources, that you comply with the instructions regarding length of your post and that you reply to two classmates in a substantive way (not ‘nice post’ or the like).  Your goal is to help your colleagues write better. Do not use spinbot or other word replacement software. It usually results in nonsense and is not a good way to learn anything. . I will not spend a lot of my time trying to decipher nonsense. Proof read your work or have it edited. Find something interesting and/or relevant to your work to write about.  Please do not submit attachments unless requested.

Project schedule:

Week 9:  Submit your company selection with the stock exchange by posting to the discussion board thread under the title “Course Project (select/post company in week 9 for approval)”.  I will approve each student’s selection of a company for this project.

Week 13:    Use the tools and techniques presented in this course to analyze the company’s profitability, liquidity, leverage and the common stock as an investment.  The length of the paper should be 4 to 5 typewritten pages.  The paper will be due by day 7, 11:59pm EST. 

Week 14 & 15:   Prepare a presentation (5 minutes) for a Zoom meeting call.

Write a 175- to 265-word response to the following: 

• Should self-awareness encourage you to alter your behavior to accommodate external pressures, or should it empower you to become steadfast in your identity? Defend your answer. 
• If people are likely to be biased or unfair in their assessment of you, how can you trust others to provide helpful criticism? 

 Assignment:Write a 800-1500 word essay addressing each of the following points/questions. Be sure to completely answer all the questions for each bullet point. There should be four sections, one for each bullet below. Separate each section in your paper with a clear heading that allows your professor to know which bullet you are addressing in that section of your paper. Support your ideas with at least three (3) citations in your essay. Make sure to reference the citations using the APA writing style for the essay. The cover page and reference page do not count towards the minimum word amount.

• There are various types of families discussed in Chapter 10. What type of family do you come from? Explain using all the factors in the chapter.
• Imagine you are the leader of a religious organization. Give nine examples – one for each characteristic ­– of what your organization’s beliefs are and what you believe each does for the religion.
• Attending primary and secondary school is not an option in the United States up to the age of 18. If you were a teacher, how would you use the Functionalist Perspective to make the most of your classroom educational experience?
• There are four models/explanations to Patterns of City Growth. What are the models? Give an example of each from the time period to which each model refers.
