VARK Analysis Paper

Learning styles represent the different approaches to learning based on preferences, weaknesses, and strengths. For learners to best achieve the desired educational outcome, learning styles must be considered when creating a plan. Complete “The VARK Questionnaire,” located on the VARK website, and then complete the following:

  1. Click “OK” to receive your questionnaire scores.
  2. Once you have determined your preferred learning style, review the corresponding link to view your learning preference.
  3. Review the other learning styles: visual, aural, read/write, kinesthetic, and multimodal (listed on the VARK Questionnaire Results page).
  4. Compare your current preferred learning strategies to the identified strategies for your preferred learning style.
  5. Examine how awareness of learning styles has influenced your perceptions of teaching and learning.

In a paper (750-1,000 words), summarize your analysis of this exercise and discuss the overall value of learning styles. Include the following:

  1. Provide a summary of your learning style according the VARK questionnaire.
  2. Describe your preferred learning strategies. Compare your current preferred learning strategies to the identified strategies for your preferred learning style.
  3. Describe how individual learning styles affect the degree to which a learner can understand or perform educational activities. Discuss the importance of an educator identifying individual learning styles and preferences when working with learners.
  4. Discuss why understanding the learning styles of individuals participating in health promotion is important to achieving the desired outcome. How do learning styles ultimately affect the possibility for a behavioral change? How would different learning styles be accommodated in health promotion?

Environmental Health and Safety Nurses are charged to incorporate knowledge of the environment into their nursing practice. Nurses are essential to improve environmental health through nursing education, research, and practice. A public health nurse incorporates an “upstream” focus in the community health position working with the community population. The community health nurse must consider the precautionary principle in the upstream focus. The nurse has to consider how the core functions of public health will be applied.

1. What strategic actions does the community health nurse need to consider as part of the upstream framework?

2. The community health nurse is using the precautionary principle in the upstream framework in the community. What is the precautionary principle and how is it applied to public health and the core functions?

3. The core functions of public health can be applied to public health nursing. What are the core functions of public health?

ABSTRACT – 2025

Selected topic attatched :

Strategies for detecting elderly abuse in nursing homes

Writing My Abstract

1. Formulate the Abstract section of your selected topic.

Make sure that your Abstract contains the following sub-sections:

* Background Information on the Problem

* The Objective of the Study

* Method Used

* Interpretation of the Results

* Conclusion & Recommendations for Future Research

Example:

Background: The temporary protective status (TPS) is a document granted by USCIS to eligible nationals of certain countries, who are already in the US. It was granted to the Haitian community after the earthquake back in 2010 Objective: The purpose of this study is to explain why Haitian with TPS should be granted a green card. Method: For this research study, a meta-analysis method was used. Various data relating Temporary Protected Status (TPS) were collected and specifically sorted. The information was compared to a narrow path regarding solely to the Haitian community. Results: TPS has received many extensions over the past ten years; now it is just a question of when the US government will close their eyes on the Haitians people. This uncertainty causes many fears in the community. Conclusion: The research will help know whether Haitian in the US with TPS will get a green card and which way. Furthermore, this study will help a lot of Haitian living in USA, also those that might come temporarily to know the stress they will be facing. Recommendations: It is recommended that future research be done to collect more information on legalization like asylum, family-based citizenship through USCIS, and conduct quantitative-qualitative studies on the same topic.

Keywords: temporary protective status, Haitian community, immigration, government legislation, green card for Haitians

Annotated Bibliography – 2025

Use the University Library to locate peer-reviewed research articles related to a research study about health or health care issues, concerns, or trends.

  • The research article must describe a research study, not an editorial or brief.
  • The research study must be based in the United States from 2010 to the present.
  • It is recommended that you select health topics of interest to you or your job, with no complex statistical analyses.

Select at least 3 peer-reviewed* articles to use to complete an annotated bibliography. The 3 research articles can be based on the same or different topics. Topic ideas can include (but are not limited to):

  • Adolescent obesity (select different geographic locales: urban vs rural)
  • Infection rates among ICU patients
  • Readmission rates for congestive heart failure patients
  • Patient satisfaction or patient experience of care
  • Population health management in diabetes care
  • Care coordination or care continuum
  • Patient safety or quality management

Complete the annotated bibliography based on the 3 articles you selected from the University Library.

Be sure to do the following for each bibliography:

  • Summarize the research study in your own words (at least 150 words).
  • Include the major areas of the research study, such as the sample, geographic location, and the outcome.
  • Bibliographies should not include any direct quotes or in-text citation.

Remember to alphabetize your annotated bibliography.
