Nancy is an autonomous 85-year-old living in her own home. She is hospitalized for atrial fibrillation and two new medications are added to her regime. She has been forgetful and asks the nurse to repeat statements several times. She doesn’t think she can remember to take all her medications and asks if Medicare can pay for someone to come administer the medications twice a day.  Does Nancy meet the eligibility for home care visits? If so, how much (if any) would Medicare pay for home care for Nancy? What other options could be discussed with Nancy? Explore options for living in an independent or assisted living home. Assignment 2: psychology

 The deep dive this week involves the class of drugs, anti-psychotics. Pick 1 drug from this family and write up a short description of the med, its uses, side effects, contraindications, warnings, any labs that need to be followed etc. Again, write it as though you were instructions a patient. 

Implementation Plan

For this section of your research proposal assignment, you will focus on the implementation plan, which includes considerations for ethics, recruitment practices, and a plan for how you will collect your data. Please note that you will not explain how to analyze your data in this section, but rather how you will go about collecting the data.

The following components must be addressed:

• Explain how you will ensure your research is conducted in an ethical manner 
• Include a copy of an informed consent that will be included for participants of your research proposal project (see pp. 202–203 for a sample)

Understanding the strengths of each type of therapy and which type of therapy is most appropriate for each client is an essential skill of the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. In this Discussion, you will compare Existential-Humanistic therapy to a therapy you select from the previous weeks of this course. You will identify the strengths and challenges of each and describe a fictional client that you think is best suited for each.

Clearly, diagnosis is a critical aspect of healthcare. However, the ultimate purpose of a diagnosis is the development and application of a series of treatments or protocols. Isolated recognition of a health issue does little to resolve it.

In this module’s Discussion, you applied the Clark Healthy Workplace Inventory to diagnose potential problems with the civility of your organization. In this Portfolio Assignment, you will continue to analyze the results and apply published research to the development of a proposed treatment for any issues uncovered by the assessment.
